Beneil Dariush stole the show at UFC 262. A stellar performance of grappling led to a dominant win over seasoned veteran Tony Ferguson, cementing Dariush as a legitimate contender in the lightweight division.

Even wilder than the legend Furgeson being dominated consistently by Dariush was the post-fight callout.

Generally, fighters will take their interview times to send a message to the person that they want to fight next. This drives up the hype for upcoming bouts and allows fighters to move up the ladder in their division.

Dariush was no different. He made a call out to someone…but it wasn’t a fighter. No, the person that he was focused on was Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk.

You’re probably wondering why a UFC fighter is choosing to call out Tesla’s CEO on live TV, especially when there was so much else to talk about relating to that fight.

Many people were expecting more of an emphasis on the fact that he had just beaten the person who nearly every UFC fan calls the toughest fighter in the sport’s history.

Instead, he had some choice words for Elon Musk’s delivery service, or rather that lack thereof:

Elon, where’s my wife’s car, bro? I’ve been waiting six months. I’m having a baby, I need a good car, I’ve got to protect my daughter. Let’s go, Elon. Get me my car!”

Weird. Fighters don’t usually do this, especially not over a missing car order. Dariush apparently ordered the Tesla back in December but didn’t receive it.

The distinction of “my wife’s car” made the whole thing funnier and left many considering a world where he was forced to call out the CEO by his wife.

Even better as the fact that Elon Musk actually saw the video. He tweeted, “Coming soon. Sorry for the delay!” and the rest was history. Beneil Dariush has now received a temporary Tesla replacement car while his order is processed, and he seems to be happy with the fast service.

If any of your online orders seem to get lost in the mail, become a UFC fighter and beat one of the best martial artists on international TV. They’ll definitely put you on the priority customer service track for that.
