Following bans on Twitter and Facebook, former U.S President Donald Trump is allegedly developing his own social media platform and has released a new website as part of a push to remain prominent in mainstream media.

Donald Trump’s removal from various online forums came after January’s capitol riots, during which many executives were unhappy with his social media rhetoric. As such, Twitter issued the following statement on January 8th:

“After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence.”

Facebook vice president Nick Clegg used similar warranting, noting “Our decision to suspend then-President Trump’s access was taken in extraordinary circumstances: a US president actively fomenting a violent insurrection designed to thwart the peaceful transition of power; five people killed; legislators fleeing the seat of democracy. This has never happened before — and we hope it will never happen again. It was an unprecedented set of events which called for unprecedented action.”

Hoping to rebuild his communication channels with America’s general public, the former president recently launched a new website, 45office.com

The introductory paragraph states “The Office of Donald J. Trump is committed to preserving the magnificent legacy of the Trump Administration, while at the same time advancing the America First agenda,” an opening statement that supports our assumption of his anti-big tech mentality.

The website features various subsections, including a page in which users can “request a greeting” from the former president and first lady. With occasions ranging from graduations to military retirements, anyone can request a custom message. However, the wait time is listed as up to 6 weeks (due to the anticipated high volume).

Similarly, it’s equipped with a press request form, under which representatives of media outlets can send in inquiries. The administration seems to be geared towards maintaining Donald Trump’s stature among his voters and his prominence in national news.

Donald Trump’s plan doesn’t stop there. According to campaign spokespeople, the former president will be creating his own social media platform, one that will supposedly draw in tens of millions of users. Not much of this plan has been released to the public, although it’s rumored that the platform will be up and running within the coming months.

Many critics are extremely speculative that any form of Donald Trump social media will be released, and the coming weeks will be crucial in determining whether the claims have any substance behind them.
