It’s not every day that you hear someone’s voice sounding identical to a celebrity. Suave Pegues, more popularly known as Suavehart, has inherited the ability to capture the unique essence of famous comedian Kevin Hart. Starting from comedy skits to voice impressions. Suavehart has built an enormous following on social media and has recently achieved virality for his prank call series, where he impersonates Kevin Hart on the phone with a multitude of services.

Voice impressionists’ success doesn’t come easy. While some may view it as a mere triviality, the ability to essentially replicate another person’s external aspects can be compared to that of a superhero. Being able to nail the exact tone, pitch, and inflection of a random voice is a scarce gift. Fortunately, his prodigal talent has not fallen upon deaf ears. His TikTok profile, @Suavehart, has collected a mountainous 2.5 million followers.

With such a large following, his talent begs an obvious question. How good is the impression? Well, Suavehart has presented accurate representations of Kevin Hart by taking over the voice of Kevin Hart’s scripts in different scenes from movies such as Jumanji and Central Intelligence, as well as Kevin Hart’s own stand up comedy series

When we asked Suavehart about his inspiration to pursue the Kevin Hart voice impression, he said, “I saw a video of Jay Pharoah doing the impression first, and I was so curious on how he learned how to do it. With Kevin being my favorite actor, I figured it was one I had to learn no matter how frustrated I got while learning it. I watched YouTube videos of Kevin Hart scenes from his stand-ups and interviews for about 30-45 minutes and still couldn’t get it. Randomly I choked on a Taki one day, and that’s when I realized I could do his voice. It took me about 1 to 2 months to master it, and now that’s what people know me as ‘the best Kevin Hart impersonator.’”

As if that isn’t enough, he’s also impersonated the famous comedian himself in a multitude of his videos. In one clip, he impersonates Kevin Hart on a call with the renowned restaurant chain “Applebee’s.” In another, he books a reservation at a hotel.

Suavehart’s ability to capitalize on the talent that most would use as a party trick is what truly sets him aside from the competition. Combining his natural gift with a unique content strategy, he’s managed to build a strong fanbase on social media platforms.

Naturally, his fanbase has demanded an explanation on how to achieve his famous impression. In response, Suavehart recently released an official tutorial, featuring his secret method to impersonating Mr. Hart. In the words of his fans, Suavehart sounds more like Kevin Hart than Kevin Hart himself.

However, his content isn’t as single faceted as it may sound. At its root, Suavehart has an impeccable viral strategy. Why? Because his videos are fueled by engagement, and not in the typical sense. Suavehart’s inspiration comes from his comments section, and his fans essentially decide what his next video will entail. By creating a culture in which his fans have just as much of a say in the content as he does, Suave Pegues reaches peak engagement levels from his followers.
