Today, technology is part of everyone’s life and it is kind of impossible to live without it. From the Americas to Asia and Europe, technology is increasingly becoming a necessity in our lives.

Computer Science (World)

The computer science discipline has helped us to understand the cores of technological inventions and innovation. We know the fundamental principles of computers and how computing systems are evolving at a supersonic rate.

One of the powers behind technological advancement and sophisticated computing has been the emergence of robust algorithms. Yet, computer science helps us design algorithmic processes that are predictive, intelligent, and process information faster than anything else.

If we didn’t have CS, we wouldn’t have some of the best technologies we love today. Facebook, Windows, Linux, Google, and Twitter, have come to fruition because of the computer science brains behind them and their operations.

When NASA planned to send the first astronauts on the Moon, they integrated a computer system onto the spaceship. Admittedly, the mission wouldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for the power of CS.

The field of CS broadens our understanding to implement technological concepts that are crucial to society. For instance, all the aspects of computational systems, such as hardware and software, could be implemented through CS.

Computer Science (Profession)

The demand for computer science professionals is ever-growing. Companies are constantly looking for engineers, developers, systems architects, administrators, and managers. As the demand for technology increases, so does the demand for computer scientists.

The U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) predicts that the field of computer and information technology is likely to grow by 13 percent between 2021-2026, beating the average growth rate of all other occupations.

Computer science is similarly becoming an increasingly popular major in top schools across the country. One thing’s for sure-that technology is here to stay.
